Who we are
How it started
Gray Muzzle Society was founded in 2020 by former shelter workers who kept seeing the same gap. Older animals and animals with medical needs often needed more time, more care, and a home environment than a busy shelter could provide.
The work has grown since then. Today it includes foster-based rescue, Molly's Menagerie, help with veterinary bills, and veterinary outreach in the Colombian Amazon.

How we help
Gray Muzzle Society currently operates four programs: foster-based senior pet rescue, Molly's Menagerie, veterinary Mini Grants, and Operation Amazonas.
Senior Pet Rescue
Senior, special-needs, and hospice dogs and cats live in foster homes, not kennels. We cover veterinary care while each animal waits for adoption or receives long-term fospice care.

Gray Muzzle Society is volunteer-run and foster-based. We do not operate a shelter building.
Foster-based rescue
Rescue dogs and cats live with foster families rather than in a shelter building while we cover their veterinary care and supplies.
