Save a Life

Adopt

You’re taking the first step in changing a life.

There’s a lot to love about senior pets, they’ve moved past those destructive puppy and kitten phases, and have mastered the arts of loyalty and devotion. Sadly, senior and special needs animals are too often overlooked in animal shelters, the ASPCA reports that senior dogs are 35% less likely to be adopted than puppies. We know from personal experience that nothing is more rewarding than welcoming home adult pets, and we hope you’ll give it a try.

What to Expect

After applying to adopt an animal Gray Muzzle Society will review your application and verify the information provided. This will include contacting your current veterinarian, and landlord if applicable.

Next, a Gray Muzzle representative will reach out with any further questions, and arrange a virtual home inspection and interview. This will take place via video conference, and allow us to get to know you and your family better.

Finally, we’ll set up a time for you to meet the animal you’re interested in to make sure you’re the perfect match.

You can also expedite this procedure by applying to become a foster parent, and fostering to adopt the animal you are interested in.
