How the program works
Veterinary assistance for Colorado pet owners
Mini Grants help Colorado pet owners with unexpected veterinary expenses that could otherwise lead to surrender or euthanasia.
Grants generally range from $200 to $500 and are paid directly to the veterinary clinic. They are currently available only to Colorado residents.
Before you apply
Funds are limited, and applying does not guarantee an award. The application gives us the information we need to review the case fairly and contact the veterinary clinic if needed.
Paid to the clinic
Grant funds are applied directly to an approved veterinary bill and are not paid to the pet owner.
Handled case by case
Need, prognosis, available funds, and whether the grant can keep the animal safely at home all matter.
If your pet is having an emergency, contact a veterinary hospital now. Gray Muzzle Society cannot provide emergency care or guarantee an immediate response to an application.

Can the money be reimbursed to me?
No. Approved funds are paid directly to the veterinary clinic and applied to the bill.
Does applying guarantee assistance?
No. We wish we could help every family, but the program is limited by available donations and by what each case requires.
Can I apply from outside Colorado?
Not at this time. Gray Muzzle Mini Grants are currently limited to Colorado residents.
