Gray Muzzle Society is a volunteer-run nonprofit based in Morrison, Colorado. Our programs include senior pet rescue, Molly's Menagerie, veterinary Mini Grants, and Operation Amazonas.
Founded in 2020
How we started
Kayson Cooper and Molly Dawson met while working in animal welfare. Again and again, they saw senior, special-needs, and medically complex animals struggle in systems built to move quickly and care for many animals at once.
Some of those animals needed a foster home and time. Some needed a dental procedure, medication, or a surgery before anyone could see past the medical chart. Other pets already had a family who loved them, but one unexpected veterinary bill put that relationship at risk.
Molly and Kayson founded Gray Muzzle Society in 2020. Since then, the organization has expanded to include foster-based rescue, Molly's Menagerie, Mini Grants, and Operation Amazonas.

Fosters and volunteers
